Michael McCalla is a former pro mountain biker that has ridden and raced both mountain and road bikes around the world over the past 31 years. His favorite race courses are longer ones with big natural challenges, meaning he loves to ride up mountains! He is a former public school music teacher that enjoys sharing his favorite things with others, and he is proud to have the opportunity to bring a first-class cycling marathon to his home state of New Mexico. As a lover of mountains, desert, sunshine and chile of all kinds, he knows that Santa Fe is a perfect place for the GFNY North American Championship.
Jan Bear has lived in Santa Fe since beginning 2nd grade in 1961. He practiced Orthopedic Surgery in Santa Fe until he retired in 2017. He has been involved in outdoor sports for more than 30 years. He has been helping promote bike, running, triathlon and other outdoor events in Santa Fe for the last 13 years as part of The CORE Crew. Being on the GFNY/Santa Fe Board allows him to continue to help promote his hometown, Santa Fe and the outdoor activities that that Santa Fe has to offer. Because of his medical background he is passionate about fitness and healthy lifestyles. He feels helping bring such a prestigious event to Santa Fe is a great honor, and looks forward to a very successful event.
Wolfgang Dworzak is an avid endurance sports enthusiast. Born in Salzburg Austria, he grew up in Colorado, where he spent winters skiing and summers bicycling. Wolfgang moved to New Mexico in 1975 to study chemical engineering. He retired from Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2008 and subsequently returned to school to obtain a degree in exercise science. Since 1995 he has completed over 135 triathlons and duathlons, and has been a Team USA member for the past 6 years. He currently operates a personal training business in Los Alamos.

Mark is an avid cyclist, and he knows that cyclists love to eat, so he is in charge of the lucky guests at the VIP dinner Friday evening.
Kevin Brennan is a certified public accountant and father of two. Raised in Santa Fe as one of four siblings by mid-western parents, he learned to ski at an early age and years later how to artfully skip classes to go skiing on wintry weekdays. He is an avid mountain biker and also an advocate for the expansion of Santa Fe's new urban trails system. He has qualified and finished both the Boston and New York marathons. He has also ridden numerous centuries, one of the most memorable of them was getting away with a solo of Utah’s famous 100 mile White Rim Trail on a beater bike.
